Here at ADC it’s been a successful and busy year so far, so we thought we’d share some of our news stories from the last couple of months and give our subscribers a temperature check on how we see our side of the drilling industry at this time.

NOT TO BE OUT DONE BY THE SUCCESS of The US Women’s Soccer Team winning the World Cup this year again, we have our very own Dream Team firmly established at our home base in Houston.

AS WE MOVE INTO THE THIRD QTR we can’t believe how fast 2019 has been… This year we have welcomed a new global MSA (Master Service Agreement) with ENI and supported their rig intake plans for land rigs and MODU’s in South East Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America. As I type this today we are involved in 36 different rig intake projects for a variety of clients across the world!

Offshore we have been supporting rig intake projects for countries with an uptick in activity such as Mexico, and Brazil, as well as our familiar and busy UKCS. 

Australia, Myanmar, West Africa and Gulf of Mexico have also seen our dedicated team of specialists delivering rig assurance for our clients. Working closely with the 5th, 6th and 7th Gen drillship and latest generation semisubmersible fleet has proven vital to aid rig contracting decision making… Those “rig selection” decisions are becoming more difficult with increased rig activity, and tightening of some sectors of the drilling market, but it is great to see the warm stacked assets reactivating and drilling again.

ONSHORE WE'VE BEEN HELPING OUR LAND OPERATORS with rig acceptance testing and safety surveys across the US from the Permian to Pennsylvania, as well as across Europe, North Africa and Middle East as the benefits of a robust inspection approach to drilling efficiency, safety of people and the environment are realized in both conventional and unconventional oil and gas drilling.

WITH RECENT CONTRACT AWARDS in the Asia Pacific region, ADC’s Craig Duncan and Jason McGill have been spending time with Gordon Williams, Keith Williams and the team at Onyx iES, our local partner in KL. We’ve been working together for almost seven years now supporting Malaysia’s Operators with their rig intake assurance and it’s great to see us thriving in the region together once again.
